The Midas Touch Filter by SZ Filters transforms light into a liquid golden glow. It creates warm highlights and dreamy diffusion directly in-camera. This handcrafted filter includes a fluid-reactive core, which gives your images a soft, cinematic feel and glowing movement.
It’s ideal for wedding films, golden hour portraits, live music, and creative shoots. If you move the camera or the light source, the filter shifts and reshapes the glow. As a result, your frame gains a dynamic texture.
Our unique filter is handcrafted in three stages. We personally build and test each piece to meet our high-quality standards.

-For lenses that are below 50mm and for wide angle lenses some circular marks may appear around the edges of the images due to the filter design.
*Most of our filters are in 77mm size, which we chose after extensive research and testing with various lens diameters — it’s the ideal size for creative flexibility when paired with our Adapter Rings and Filter Magnet Pro. Recently, we’ve also introduced select filters in 95mm size to meet the needs of users with larger lenses. We’re not interested in selling you a different filter for every lens you own; our goal is to help you create incredible images with simplicity, speed, and creativity.
Direct a natural or artificial light source toward the filter and use a darker background behind the halo. The moving gold flecks reflect that light. Changing the light angle or camera position changes the appearance.

Check a test frame before the shoot. The filter design can produce circular marks near the edges with lenses below 50mm and with wide-angle lenses. Thread fit alone does not guarantee a clear image edge.
Our liquid filters are handmade. The parts are assembled in two stages, with each stage lasting 9 hours. Afterwards, the filters are sanded, polished and then subjected to an immersion process to confirm that there are no leaks. Only then does final assembly take place with the metal rings.
Important: It is normal to see imperfections on the edges due to the sealing process. These do not affect the final image at all, nor do air bubbles smaller than a penny. Some diamonds or gold dust may be stuck to the edges to help reflect light when the filter is rotated, but the total amount around the edges is less than 20%.
To ensure the maximum durability and optimal performance of your liquid filters, avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures, especially very low ones (below 5°C/41°F).
